SolPol-2

The collaborative industrial research project SolPol-2 includes the following research topics in 6 work packages (i.e., 'Arbeitspakete, AP'):

 
AP-01:    Solar-thermal collector with internal overheating control using polyolefins (OHC Collector) – Collector concept, simulation, material selection, production and testing of model collectors.
 
AP-02:    Solar-thermal collector without internal overheating control using plastics and hybrid design (Hybrid Collector) – Collector and components concept, simulation, material selection, production and testing of model collectors.
 
AP-03:    Concept study of large-area film collectors (Large-Area Film Collector) – Identification, selection and characterization of adequate materials and semi-finished products.
 
AP-04:    Long-term resistant and functional polyolefins with high solar absorbance (Functional Compounds) – Systematic variation of raw material constituents, optimization of solar absorbance and production and testing of model collectors.
 
AP-05:    Polyolefin compounds for long-term resistant water heat stores of variable and adaptable capacity (Durable Compounds) – Systematic variation of raw material constituents, optimization of solar absorbance and production and testing of model collectors.
 
AP-06:    Novel design concepts for all-polymeric solar-thermal collectors (ID Collector Concepts) – Idea sketches, simulation and material selection.
